WAS THAT REALLY GHOSTLY?

Was that really ghostly?

Time passes by leaving behind memories of different kinds. Some sweet, some bitter and some even scary.

A lot of water has flown in Ganga since I encountered my very first ghostly adventure. That time I was studying in 12th at Lakhimpur Kheri, my District Headquarter.

The day I came across with this experience, I was returning from Lakhimpur Kheri, after a long time. Having completed my 54 Km long journey, on my way to home there was a low land region that usually becomes marshy during rainy season. To grapple with muddy path, I took of shoes held them in one hand and a heavy trunk in another and set off.

No sooner did I reach the opposite end of that" भाई हो तनि रूकि जायौ हमहूँ आई ली" cried somebody at my back in vernacular.

The sun was almost hiding itself fully in the western sky and thus  enhancing the solitude and silence of that solitary palace. Hearing those words, I assured the caller to join me and started putting the shoes on casually. To my surprise, after a long wait of five to seven minutes, I received nothing but the same voice coming from the same distance. “There must be something fishy whispered someone inside me and that instant itself I resumed my walk but little speedily. Soon I was at my home among my family members. I told the tale to them which was mysterious even till date.

The final outcome was a load of stories from their side.

Whether it was a hallucination or mockery by someone, can’t be proved, perhaps that’s why I call it something ghostly.
